My Reflection

A true poet begins with the heart. The heart of writing poems requires sacrifice. As a student, I started being a curious person who always try my best to make good poems. I may somehow wonder why do we need to write poems but as time pass by, I realize that poems have deeper meanings in our lives. Poetry for me is an orphan of silence that gives us knowlegde about something and helps us to express our feelings. In my second high school life, I encountered the lessons about Haiku and Tankas. These poems helped me to create more poems with vibrant image, movement and realization. These poems also helped me to apply the basic elements of poetry e.g meter, rhyme, symbolism and to know about poetry devices e.g alliteration, simile, metaphor. In making poems, one must first learn to be Patient, Considerate, Open-Minded, Desicive, Prayerful and Devoted. I cannot reach success without my Inspirations; my family, my friends, my classmates and teachers, and most of all, God, who made all things possible. A True Poet lies within you........
